We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator with a strong background in Core Linux systems. The ideal candidate should have intermediate-level experience with storage technologies and a basic understanding of database systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Design and implement system architecture to support scalability, reliability, and high availability.
• Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and services.
• Ensure system performance, availability, and security in a 24x7 production environment.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes as needed.
• Work closely with storage vendors to manage and monitor storage solutions.
• Collaborate with database administrators for basic DB-related troubleshooting and support.
• Automate routine tasks and improve system management through scripting.
• Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Support disaster recovery and backup strategies, including regular testing and validation.
• Participate in On-Call rotation and respond to critical incidents as required.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, or processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Networking, and Application teams to support business needs.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards and regulations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and drive long-term fixes.
Required Skills:
• Core Linux expertise (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Intermediate knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, LVM, etc.)
• Basic understanding of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance tuning
