Linux/MQ Engineer

MQ and Linux Engineer (with Kubernetes/Rancher experience)

We are seeking a skilled MQ and Linux Engineer with hands-on experience in Kubernetes or Rancher to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our enterprise messaging systems, Linux environments, and container orchestration platforms. This role involves system administration, middleware support (particularly IBM MQ or similar), and infrastructure automation in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ (or similar messaging systems) across multiple environments.

Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (Red Hat, CentOS, or similar).

Deploy, monitor, and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes or Rancher.

Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines for infrastructure and applications.

Ensure the high availability and performance of messaging systems and related infrastructure.

Monitor systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.

Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents promptly.

Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Maintain and create technical documentation, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Required:

7+ years of experience in Linux system administration.

experience managing IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or other enterprise messaging systems.

Experience with container orchestration platforms: Kubernetes or Rancher.

Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Ansible).

Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).

Familiarity with SSL, TLS, and security best practices for middleware and Linux systems.

Preferred:

Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Familiarity with Helm charts, Istio, or other Kubernetes-native tools.

Certification in Red Hat, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or relevant MQ technologies.
