We’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. We challenge what’s possible. From breaking the sound barrier to advanced tiltrotor systems. Today, Bell is shaping the future of aviation through specialized engineering. And we want you.

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX.

Lines Design

Bring your experience and ideas and help us develop and maintain quality master shapes to define all contoured aircraft components such as the fuselage, cowling, inlet, tail boom, wing, fin, elevator, fairings, and rotor blades. You will also be responsible for tooling surface models for parts that are contour dependent.

This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to complete design tasks. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities on significant design problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

What you’ll be doing as a Lines Surfacing Designer

Create surfaces defining shapes that are functional, manufacturable, and meet requirements provided by other design groups, aerodynamics, and manufacturing. Establish and document the master geometry model for each aircraft product. This model defines location and nomenclature of major structure and drive systems to insure consistent use by other design groups throughout the aircraft design.Produce Basic Surface Data Sheets and Three-View Drawings for all aircraft.Maintain legacy lines data and convert to 3D CAD models when necessary. Coordinate with other engineering, manufacturing, or specialty personnel to resolve surface or contour-related problems.
