The Capital Hilton is looking for their next Linen Room Runner! Our historic hotel is in the heart of the nation’s capital, less than a mile from McPherson Sq metro station. It offers 350 rooms, two restaurants, and extensive event space. 

Our ideal candidate will possess good attitude, the physical ability to keep up with the demands of the position and can work in a fast-paced environment! Please note that this is a union role - forty hours per week will not be guaranteed.

 

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work the 7am - 3pm shift any day of the week, weekends or holidays as needed

Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Linen Runner, you would be responsible for distributing clean linens throughout the hotel in continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Transport clean linen from the laundry department to designated storage areasReplenish linen supplies in housekeeping linen closets and guest rooms as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization of linen storage areasAssist with inventory control of linen itemsReport any linen shortages or damages to the supervisorAdhere to all hotel policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned
