**POSITION REQUIREMENTS:** + A high school diploma or equivalent \(GED\) supplemented by a one\-year course in trade school or the equivalent, and the ability to climb poles skillfully with Lineman's climbers are required\. + Individuals must be qualified to hold a Commercial Driver's License \(CDL\)\. + Candidates must successfully pass the **C** onstruction **A** nd **S** killed **T** rades \( **CAST** \) test and the agility assessment\. The position will likely involve shift and weekend hours and on\-call assignments\. + The successful candidate must live within 30\-minutes of the reporting location\. The salary range for this position starts at **$39\.50** and progresses in accordance with the union contract\. **POSITION DESCRIPTION:** Individuals will learn to perform work involved in the construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric system\.
