Hilton Americas-Houston is searching for a talented Line Cook to join their culinary team!

A premier event destination in downtown Houston, we're connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center via skywalk. Enjoy your favorite cocktail and views of the glittering skyline. Relax at the spa, and enjoy the infinity pool, hot tub, and fitness center.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned culinary professional with a minimum 2 years of experience as a PM Line Cook. This individual will possess strong knowledge of food safety standards, cooking temperatures, prior experience working with various proteins, and be proficient across all stations. Knife skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a background in high-volume kitchen operations are also essential. A genuine passion for culinary growth and career development is highly valued. While hotel experience is preferred, it is not required. This is a union position.

This position will support the main kitchen, which services the restaurant, in-room dining, and bar operations.

Shift Pattern: Full availability is required, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The position primarily supports PM shifts, with flexibility needed to support AM shifts. Typical shift times of 4:00 PM - late night.

Pay Rate: $16.65 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standardsMaintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all timesManage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient mannerEnsure knowledge of menu and all food productsStock and maintain designated food station(s)Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchenPractice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulationsPrepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
