In this role you assist in the café onsite at our Groveport distribution center. A serve safe certification is needed. You will help with register, food prep, cleaning, and inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities:
 

Center on the customer by providing a pleasant experienceAbility to operate cash register and manage cash flowAttend to the detail and presentation of each orderAdhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety proceduresPrep & Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredientsComplete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients when necessaryMaintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food itemsStores leftovers according to health codesContribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the teamServ Safe Certification is required to be obtainedStocking & Inventory assistanceLift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, and stack cartons, while standing or walking for up to 12 hours at a time.​Associates may be required to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. (range may vary based on work assignment).​Ability to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, and overtime when needed.​Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.​Ability to learn standard operating procedures acquired through on-the-job training.Ability to independently complete a written test and use technology

Who You Are

Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, and stack cartons, while standing or walking for up to 12 hours at a time.​

Associates may be required to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. (range may vary based on work assignment).​

Ability to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, and overtime when needed.​

Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.​

Ability to learn standard operating procedures acquired through on-the-job training, to include power industrial vehicle (PIV) where applicable.​

Ability to independently login to a computer and operate digital tablets or registers​

Ability to independently complete a self-guided orientation on the computer or digital tablet.​

For employee safety, it is necessary to have a basic level of English written and oral proficiency to communicate with Supervisors and understand safety signage and protocols. ​​
