PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job DescriptionDevelop and maintain production schedules that reflect actual capacity and demand forecasts, ensuring optimal use of resources across three different Final Test lines.Conduct detailed capacity analysis and simulation studies to identify bottlenecks, underutilization, or excess capacity.Analyze machine downtime, utilization, and availability data using SEMI E10 indicators (e.g., Uptime, Downtime, Standby, Engineering Time) to drive continuous improvement.Collaborate closely with production, equipment, and process engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting daily production targets.Monitor and adjust daily line performance in real-time, using data dashboards and reporting tools to escalate potential delays or deviations from the plan.Communicate production priorities clearly to operations teams and coordinate recovery actions when deviations occur.Support NPI (New Product Introduction) readiness by aligning line planning and scheduling to engineering and qualification timelines.Maintain detailed documentation of production planning assumptions, capacity metrics, and issue resolutions for traceability and audit readiness.Participate actively in cross-functional planning meetings, including daily meetings, weekly reviews, and monthly operational meetings.Identify improvement opportunities and lead or contribute to Improvement projects, Relevant audits & assessments, and digitalization projects or process enhancement.Collaborate with IT and Data Analytics teams to automate reporting tools and integrate production planning systems.

QualificationsMinimum Diploma in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, etc.)Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a related technical role
