Where You Will Work   

Located in southeastern Arizona, close to more than 4 million acres of national forest, employees and their families can connect with the great outdoors while fishing, rafting, hiking and more. Description Under general direction, act as the inter-departmental interface between the user and systems programming and operations. Train the user in the interpretation of systems reports, report capabilities and limitations. Assist in establishing systems analysis, programming and computer operations priorities in order to provide effective service to management and sites. Recommend standard policies and procedures for providing routine service. Assist in LIMS database design and system development. Prepare and/or supervise statistical summaries and special reports from LIMS database. Continually monitor company/Laboratory information needs and design new or modify existing systems to meet changing requirementsConduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirementsAssist in planning and scheduling testing and trainingProcess sample information and maintain records on LIMS databaseResearch, analyze, design and maintain laboratory computer systems in support of LIMS administration and projectsServe as liaison with information systems staff in resolving programming and related problemsExecute moderately complex tests according to established plans and scripts, documents problems in an issue log and retest software corrections to ensure problems are resolvedCreate test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flowDraft and revise moderately complex test plans and scriptsRecommend new equipment or software in support of Freeport-McMoRan objectivesIdentify, recommend and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategiesPerform other duties as requiredQualifications

Minimum Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and two (2) years of related experience, ORAssociate's degree in an appropriate discipline and four (4) years of related experience, ORSix (6) years of related experienceKnowledge of the principles and practices of information management systemsAbility to research and analyze systems information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusionsAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkill in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

High School Diploma or GEDExperience or knowledge of StarLIMS

What We Offer You  

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $73,500-$101,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.    What We Require
