Job Title: Lighting Specialist

Requirements:
The successful candidate would need to live close to the geographic area that they would be assigned. Roughly, the triangle of Anniston, Sylacauga, and Roanoke, AL located in Eastern Division. We would like the candidate to live within the geographic area OR be located no farther than 1 hour from either Roanoke or Sylacauga, AL. This worker will be field checking 3-4 days a week.
PPE: Hard hat, steel toed boots, safety glasses, traffic vest, FR clothes on occasion Successful candidates must provide their own safety boots Education: A bachelor's degree in lighting design, electrical engineering, architecture, or a related field. Lighting design certifications (e.g., LC - Lighting Certified) are advantageous. Experience:
Proven experience in lighting design and implementation, preferably in residential, commercial, or architectural settings.

Responsibilities: Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients, architects, and interior designers to understand their lighting needs, preferences, and project goals. Lighting Design: Create customized lighting plans and designs that meet aesthetic, functional, and energy-efficient requirements. Consider factors such as lighting levels, color rendering, and ambiance. Product Selection: Recommend and specify appropriate lighting fixtures, lamps, bulbs, and controls based on the project's design concept, budget, and energy-efficiency goals. Energy Efficiency: Focus on sustainable and energy-efficient lighting solutions by incorporating LED technology, daylight harvesting, motion sensors, and smart lighting controls. Lighting Calculations: Perform lighting calculations and simulations to determine optimal fixture placement, illumination levels, and lighting layouts. Compliance: Ensure that lighting designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including energy codes, safety guidelines, and accessibility requirements. Budget Management: Provide cost estimates and budgets for lighting projects. Work within budget constraints while delivering high-quality lighting solutions. Project Documentation: Create detailed lighting plans, technical drawings, and specifications for contractors and installers to follow during the construction phase. Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest lighting products, technologies, and trends. Evaluate and recommend new lighting products for use in projects. Site Visits: Conduct on-site evaluations to assess existing lighting conditions, troubleshoot issues, and gather information for retrofit or renovation projects. Quality Control: Inspect and oversee the installation of lighting systems to ensure that they meet design specifications and performance expectations. Client Education: Educate clients and end-users about the benefits of the selected lighting solutions, including energy savings, maintenance requirements, and control options. Collaboration: Collaborate with electrical engineers, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project to ensure seamless implementation.
