Job Summary/Description:
KCRG-TV9 is looking for someone passionate about the local lifestyle scene to join our Everyday Iowa team as a producer and reporter! This position will help the hosts in compiling segments showcasing all Eastern Iowa has to offer with opportunities to shoot, write and edit your own stories and front segments on the show! This person should have a strong personality and build connections in the community, as well as have experience in video storytelling.
Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Coordinate, plan and schedule interviews and other segments for the show.
-Gather, shoot, write and edit content for each daily show.
-Write scripts for on-air and online segments and stories.
-Appear on camera to help present select segments.
-Work with sales to present engaging content for clients within the show
-Write and edit content for the show's website and social media feeds.
-Opportunities to fill-in hosting, as-needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
-Highly-motivated, self-starter ready to make their ideas a reality.
-Proven teamwork skills.
-Fluency in digital and social media content.
-Previous experience in a local TV newsroom a plus.
-Bachelor's degree in film, photography, television, news, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
