Job Description

Responsible for every swimmer at the resort’s pool and beach area

Open the pool each day and close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hours

This includes making the swimming area safe, by getting rid of dangerous objects, encouraging safe play in the water and watching out for weaker swimmers

At the beach, you will look for undertows, swimmers being dragged far out to sea, animals, boats that are getting too close to swimmers

Qualifications

1 year related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

High School or Vocational Certificate or equivalent

Swimming and rescue skills must meet professional lifeguard standards

Good communication skills and ability to stay calm in emergency situations

Basic English proficiency for guest interaction is preferred
