We are looking for a Lifecycle Consultant based out of our Emerson Innovation Center in Round Rock, TX. This position is also open to candidates in Baton Rouge, LA, St. Louis, MO, and Calgary, Alberta Canada.
You will combine your control system experience, customer management, project management, and consultative skills to develop, implement and preserve Emerson customer’s lifecycle strategy by working collaboratively to drive improvements and value outcomes in program execution. This position will require direct engagement with Emerson local offices, Emerson Impact Partners and end-user customers.
This will be a highly visible role, supporting Emerson’s DeltaV process control system technology suite across many industries. The role will have a wide organizational impact, connecting different talents within the organization to ensure successful program delivery, high customer satisfaction and revenue expansion of existing contracts. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Ensure Emerson's commitments to customers are met in accordance with the contract and seeks to improve customer satisfaction through resolution to problems with speed and professionalism and consistent customer interaction, ensuring contract renewal. Apply standard process recommendations to develop and lead a lifecycle plan for each site covered under the service program. Own, drive and report on program execution and collaborate with the appropriate personnel as needed. You will drive the team to work effectively together to ensure program activities occur as expected and to effectively communicate information between customers. Work with the customer liaison to constantly measure and improve the collaboration between Emerson and the end user customers to deliver maximum value and increase customer loyalty. Play a key role in expanding the customer contract value through inclusion of either new technology or expanded service/program offerings. Analyze program value, profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization, while ensuring programs receive appropriate revenue recognition, and release of timely and accurate invoices. Who You Are:You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. You build and deliver a solution that meets and/or exceeds customer satisfaction. You understand internal and external customer requirements, expectations, and needs. You facilitate an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and collaborators. You deal constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes.
For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelors Engineering or Computer Science Minimum 7 years of customer services or account management or project management experience Demonstrative customer relationship and service skills Ability to interface and collaborate with a diverse customer audience including operations, management, marketing, sales, and technology Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written Candidate must be a problem solver. Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with customers, business partners and internal organizations to deliver successful lifecycle services Ability to travel up to 25% Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: MBA Minimum 6 years’ experience in industrial process control lifecycle services, program management or management role Worked across multiple geographic locations in leading service contracts (e.g. America’s, Europe, Asia, Middle East), preferably with varying types of channels (direct and representative based) Strong preference for Process Control Automation experience either in plant operations or plant engineering (DCS, MES/Operations Management, Safety Systems or similar high technical solutions) and lifecycle services (advanced control, optimization, simulation, training, asset management, turnarounds, shutdowns, upgrades, etc.). Understands customer needs around total automation lifecycle, especially in OPEX challenges and pains Experience with a Business Partner/Field Service Organization relationship is strongly preferred A broad network of contacts within the Emerson, Process Solutions Group service organization is a plus.
