Job Description

Position Summary

As a Life Enrichment Associate III, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging activities for our residents, ensuring their daily lives are filled with purpose, joy, and meaningful interactions. Your role is crucial in maintaining the well-being and quality of life for our senior residents.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Lead and facilitate daily programs for residents, ensuring high levels of engagement and participation.Assist residents with activity schedules, including reminders for meeting times and locations. Provide support for residents during excursions and special events.Develop and implement innovative programs that cater to residents' interests and abilities.Create and distribute monthly activity calendars and quarterly newsletters to keep residents and families informed.Observe and document residents' needs, desires, and responses to activities. Communicate findings to the manager to improve program offerings.Assist with cognitive testing procedures as required.Provide support and communication to family members regarding resident activities and engagement.Participate in ongoing training and professional development as directed by management.Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Life Enrichment Manager.Coordinate and lead off-site excursions, ensuring resident safety and enjoyment.Collaborate effectively with all CLC business entities to maintain a cohesive work environment.Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall mission of the organization.

 

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Life Enrichment Associate III position should possess the following:

Experience: Minimum of one year working with individuals living with Dementia.Education: Preferred Associate degree or a combination of education and certification in Dementia services. Equivalent experience may be considered.Attitude: Demonstrate a consistently positive and enthusiastic approach to work.Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing situations and requirements in a dynamic work environment.Driver's License: Valid Colorado driver's license in good standing.Teamwork: Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.Communication: Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.Physical Capabilities:Able to perform light physical tasksOccasionally lift up to 20 poundsSit, stand, and bend intermittently throughout the dayMultitasking: Skilled at managing multiple tasks and handling interruptions effectively.Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to interact positively with residents, family members, and visitors.
