This position assists the Life Enrichment Director with planning, implementing, and evaluating the life enrichment programming, which provides for the optimization of resident physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cognitive well-being. Life Enrichment Assistants help bring to life Ebenezer's cornerstones: Life Long Learning, Dimensions Program for Dementia Care, Crafted Culinary, Spiritual Care, Wellness, and Intergenerational Programming. This life enrichment assistant schedule includes; + 16 hours every two weeks + Every other weekend Saturday/Sunday 12:30-4:30 pm **Arbors at Ridges** Assisted Living is located on the Ebenezer Ridges Burnsville Campus near Fairview Ridges Hospital. Arbors at Ridges offers 62 breathtaking apartments. We have a well-established community with warm residents and a dedicated and seasoned staff! We are committed to well-rounded healthcare and successfully communicate with residents to promote a high quality of life. **Responsibilities** + Assists with life enrichment programs and activities: + Leads social events and activity programs. + Conducts exercise class for residents. + Communicates and coordinates life enrichment programs with all departments. + Assists other departments with special events and family functions. + Documents as required. + Offers suggestions and ideas to the Life Enrichment Director to improve the programming. + Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents. + Assists with the planning and execution of individual, small or large group outings outside the building, including assisting residents with boarding and deboarding from vehicles safely. + Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents: + Encourages resident participation. + Reports change in resident attitude, mood, or physical status to appropriate staff. + Promotes resident independence by offering choices and fostering self-help skills. + Assists residents in developing relationships and effectively socializing + Other duties as assigned and directed **Required Qualifications** + less than 1 year experience + Current Driver's License in good standing required if the employee will be driving the company van/bus.
