VCA Portsmouth Animal Hospital is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician (or LVT eligible) to join our team.

We are currently offering $1000 signing bonus and $1000 longevity bonus for this role!

Our 2-doctor practice offers Primary Care, Illness Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more. Our patients include dogs, cats, and exotic species.

We are open Monday, Thursday & Friday 8am -5pm, Tuesday 8am - 6pm, Wednesday & Saturday 8am -1pm, closed Sundays.

About the Role

As Veterinary Technician, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

Compassionate patient careClient education and careVenipuncture and catheter placementRadiology and diagnosticsLab sample collection and processingSurgical preparation and assistingAnesthesia monitoringDentistryMedication preparation and administrationSafe and effective patient handling and restraintMedical recordkeeping

Compensation for this role starts at up to $23/hour, depending on skills, experience and education.
