About the Role: Practical Nurse Instructor – Theory, Lab, and/or Clinicals Locations: Campbell River, Nanaimo, Victoria, and Cowichan We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practical Nurse Instructor to join our team and deliver high-quality instruction in Theory, Lab, and/or Clinical settings. This role offers 28-35 hours per week and has the potential to lead to future instructional opportunities, advancing your career in education. Rate Range: $34.60-46.50/hour Key Responsibilities: + Deliver high-quality instruction in theory, lab, and clinical settings. + Execute lesson plans that align with curriculum requirements as per PTIRU compliance. - Extensive in-house curriculum orientation and training provided. + Provide hands-on training and supervision in clinical environments. + Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback. + Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment. + Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education. Qualifications: + Minimum 3,900 hours of nursing experience, inclusive of maternity along with mental health and community experience. + Current full registration with the BCCNM – required. + Previous instructor experience is an asset. + Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems (SIS) is an asset. + Strong communication and mentorship skills. + Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles. + Commitment to fostering a positive educational experience.
