Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster. **LPN Scribe Job Summary** : Supports clinic physicians by proficiently operating the Electronic Medical Record by efficiently entering orders and documenting patient encounters for the physician; allowing physicians to focus their time on direct patient care. While this is not a direct patient care position, the individual may be called on periodically to perform patient care to assure efficient patient flow and high quality care and services. Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** Supports a clinic physician by proficiently operating the Electronic Medical Record by efficiently entering orders and documenting patient encounters for the physician; allowing him/her to focus their time on direct patient care rather than the computer. While this is not a direct patient care position, the individual may be called on periodically to perform patient care to assure efficient patient flow and high quality care and services. **What you will do** + Learns and maintains proficient understanding and utilization of the EMR (LSS). + Provides accurate, completed, legible and timely documentation of all patient encounters and procedures in the medical record. + Enters accurate, complete, legible and timely orders based on physician’s orders in the medical record. + Works collaboratively as a team member with the physician, nurse(s), and receptionists in a clinic setting to provide exceptional patient care. + Maintains knowledge of preauthorization process and ensure all criteria is met before orders for advanced imaging is placed. + Ensures that the encounters have complete and accurate diagnoses and that documentation supports the appropriate billing/coding levels. + Ensures that all documentation enhances compliance with applicable documentation standards including Meaningful Use. + Assists the Physician with clinical quality measures and chronic disease management documentation and process. + Assists with a patient-centered approach to each encounter that maximizes the patient satisfaction and outcome. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
