Description:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the delivery of safe, quality patient care under the direction of a physician. The LPN is also a member of a designated care team and collaborates with team members in achieving goals.

Position Purpose:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Adult Medicine delivers hands-on nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient setting focused on adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include administering medications and vaccines, performing EKGs, assisting with procedures, taking vital signs, and updating electronic health records. Works closely with providers to coordinate care, support chronic disease management, and ensure a compassionate, efficient patient experience. Perfect for a dependable, team-oriented nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys building long-term relationships with patients.

Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that positively impacts patient careCommunicates effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients and family membersEducate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided. Understanding of computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.   Demonstrates problem-solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN programLicensure: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of MassachusettsExperience:  Recent clinical experience is desiredCertification: Current CPR certification
