**Licensed Practical Nurse, OP - UPMC Heart & Vascular Physician Office (Memorial, York PA)** **Position Detail:** + Full-time Regular, 40 hours per week, hourly position + Work Schedule: + Core office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm + No weekends, no holidays, no on-call + We see patients until 7pm every other Thursday + This late shift is rotated through other staff so at most, 1 late shift per month (10:30am to 7pm) + Possible occasional travel to Shrewsbury office + Work location: Memorial Office **Purpose:** Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers. **Responsibilities:** + Draw blood. + Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). + Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. + Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. + Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. + Comply with all policies and procedures. + Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. + Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. + Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. + Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions. + Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. + One-year clinical experience preferred. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal + Act 33 with renewal + Act 34 with renewal + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
