Licensed Practical Nurse, OP - Telemedicine
UPMC Somerset is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Telemedicine Center, with floating responsibilities across Somerset Pulmonary Medicine and Somerset Cardiology. This outpatient role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work across multiple specialties in a dynamic and patient-focused environment. Sign-On Bonus Details: + $5,000 for LPN graduates or those with less than one year of experience (with a 2-year work commitment) + $7,500 for experienced LPNs with more than one year of experience (with a 2-year work commitment) Purpose: To provide professional nursing care to office patients under the supervision of patient care providers, supporting telemedicine and specialty services. Key Responsibilities: + Draw blood and collect specimens. + Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous (SQ), intramuscular (IM), and IV drip routes. + Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. + Assess patients’ general condition, including vital signs and weight. + Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. + Document all patient interactions, interventions, and medications in the medical record. + Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information. + Promote wellness through patient education and communication of physician instructions. + Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). + Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures. + Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. + One year clinical experience preferred. + Prior experience in a physician practice setting + Strong attention to detail + Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire + Act 34 *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
