Somerset Health Services is hiring a Full-Time, Licensed Practical Nurse, OP to support the Somerset Family Practice! The Licensed Practical Nurse, OP, provides professional nursing care to office patients under the supervision of patient care providers. This position works 40 hours per week, daylight shifts, and requires no weekends or holidays! This position is eligible for some generous Sign-on Bonuses! + New graduates qualify to receive $5,000 in exchange for a 2-year work commitment + Experienced LPNs qualify to receive $7,500 in exchange for a 2-year work commitment **Responsibilities:** + Draw blood. + Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e., OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). + Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip. + Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. + Assess the patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. + Comply with all policies and procedures. + Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. + Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. + Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. + Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions. + Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. + One year of clinical experience preferred. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire + Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal + Act 33 with renewal + Act 34 with renewal + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
