JOB OVERVIEW

This role is for a licensed electrician with responsibilities for all power of electrically driven equipment, maintain all substations, distribution & control panels, and control devices (i.e. sensors, actuators) used on equipment; and working with outside electrical contractors in regard to maintaining building & equipment power and control devices.  This position will report to the Maintenance Department

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Install electrical panels, controls, and devices for building or manufacturing equipmentInstall control, safety, and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of componentsDiagnostics of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and control systemsPerform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctionsUtilize blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manuals to complete the assigned projectPreventative and Predictive maintenanceStay up to date on current state code and complianceWorks towards improvements for process efficienciesWork in a safe manner following all PPE and standardized processesPerform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Must be able to read, write and understand EnglishAbility to interpret electrical schematicsAbility to interpret relay and ladder logic schematics or codeAbility to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and diagramsUnderstanding of Massachusetts State Electrical Code

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

MA state electrical license3- 5 years of building and industrial manufacturing electrical experienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training in field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
