POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed Clinical Supervisor (LISW-S or LPCC-S) is responsible for providing clinical supervision, assessment, and treatment services to individuals with mental health, emotional, and substance use disorders. This role includes leadership and oversight of clinical staff, facilitating therapeutic interventions, crisis management, case management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Supervisor collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support client-centered care and positive treatment outcomes. Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to those listed below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to licensed and unlicensed behavioral health clinicians, ensuring compliance with licensure board requirements and agency policies.
+ Conduct annual performance evaluations and ongoing clinical performance management for staff.
+ Oversee and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation across the clinical team.
+ Monitor and manage staff productivity standards to meet agency and funding expectations.
+ Collaborate with the Program Director to address client needs and support facility operations.
+ Facilitate admission procedures, including client intake, assessments, and required documentation.
+ Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments applying appropriate diagnostic criteria.
+ Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed practices.
+ Deliver crisis intervention services and perform risk assessments as needed.
+ Develop, implement, and update Individual Service Plans (ISPs) in collaboration with clients, guardians, and treatment teams.
+ Participate actively in treatment team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment planning.
+ Provide case management and community psychiatric supportive treatment (CPST).
+ Make referrals and provide information on community resources to support client recovery.
+ Maintain adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, funding requirements, and agency policies.
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
+ Must embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
+ Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Strong clinical supervision and leadership skills.
+ Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and trauma-informed care.
+ Excellent documentation and clinical assessment skills.
+ Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
+ Ability to maintain professional boundaries and exercise sound judgment in stressful situations.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
+ Basic computer literacy includes electronic health record systems and common office software.
+ Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal background clearance
+ A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required, and reliable transportation.
+ CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
+ During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
+ Minimum of one (1) year of clinical supervision experience.
+ Preferably two (2) years of full-time experience in outpatient mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment.
+ Demonstrated experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders, trauma histories, and complex psychosocial needs.
+ Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
+ Must hold current licensure as a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S) .
WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Primary work setting is an office environment, with occasional travel to other clinic sites, client homes, or community venues.
+ May involve exposure to emotionally challenging and crisis situations.
+ Work hours may include day or evening shifts and may require flexibility for urgent client needs.
+ Noise levels typically range from quiet (office) to moderate in community settings.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:
The employee must be able to perform the following essential duties and activities with or without accommodation:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
+ Requires mobility and physical activity: Having an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in an office, residential, or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, occasional lifting and carrying of up to 20 pounds. Use of computer and telephone systems is required which includes coordination of eye and hand, and fine manipulation by the hands (typing, writing, and working with files). Requires the ability to defend oneself and clients in physically abusive situations using approved physical de-escalation techniques.
+ Requires talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Talking is required to impart oral information to employees, clients, patients, and the public, and in those activities in which the employee is required to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.
+ Requires hearing: Hearing is required to receive and communicate detailed information through oral communication.
+ Requires seeing: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at distance. This factor is required to complete paperwork for many of the employees’ essential job functions and to observe client behavior and activities in and out of the facility.
+ The normal work routine involves no exposure to human blood, body fluids or tissues. However, exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
+ Requires the ability to collect and analyze complex numerical and written data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions.
+ Requires the ability to work and cooperate with clients, co-workers, managers, the public and employees at all levels to exchange ideas, information, instructions, and opinions.
+ Requires the ability to work under stress and in emotionally charged settings.
+ The ability to defend oneself and clients in mentally/verbally abusive situations using approved mental/verbal de-escalation techniques.
