The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Maintenance (AME - M2) reports directly to the Crew Chief. Role and Responisbilities: *Report unserviceable maintenance equipment to their assigned Crew Chief. *Carry out inspections on aircraft following the applicable standards of airworthiness. *Ensure that all reportable service difficulties and maintenance irregularities are completed and forwarded to Quality Assurance and SMS in a timely manner. *Attend training courses as directed by company management. *Ensure all defects being deferred have been done following proper procedures. *Ensure material required for defect recertifications has been researched accurately and placed on order. *Provide technical assistance or guidance to the crew. *Communicate when tasks are complete so the next trade can move on the job. *Troubleshoot aircraft mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems to identify failures or potential failures and adjust or repair affected systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manual, and established procedures. *Maintain and repair airframe engine and propeller systems. *Perform and document routine and heavy maintenance. *Ensure the work environment is safe and clean. *Perform and document routine and heavy maintenance. *Certify aircraft for return to services. Qualifications: *Transport Canada Certified AME - M2 License required. *Excellent organizational skills. *Excellent oral and written communication skills. *Shows integrity, ingenuity, and assertiveness in the performance of tasks. *Must have strong trouble shooting skills with good quality workmanship. *Employee is expected to work towards obtaining an ACA.
