Library Partner Manager, Digitization
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or higher in library science, education, linguistics, history, or a related discipline. + 7 years of experience in managing partnerships, collaborations, or external relations, coordinating technology-driven projects, workflows, and systems. + Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time as needed to meet with partners and attend industry events, etc. Preferred qualifications: + Experience in negotiating agreements or managing relationships, preferably in a library, archive, museum, or academic setting. + Experience working with digital asset management systems and library metadata. + Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally, while building strong, strategic stakeholder relationship. + Excellent people management, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build rapport with stakeholders. + Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. As a Library Partner Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with our external library partners in order to hit the long term goals of the Google Books Library scanning project. You will lead discussions on a regular basis, as well as researching and analyzing data provided by partners (both internal and external) to give specific help and business critical information to operations and engineering. They gather relevant information on collections and metadata, break it down and compare across our spectrum of inputs to give the most optimized workflow for processing. Additionally, they take multiple critical inputs from Product Area stakeholders, analyze the need and deliver information and insights back to high level stakeholders.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Representing partnerships work within engineering & product discussions. + Develop long term strategy and pipeline for new libraries & external partner engagement. + Troubleshoot some technical problems for our partners, solving view-ability problems for potentially hundreds or thousands of digital books. + Attend and sometimes lead industry-wide events around digitization, digital image quality and digital collections. + Coordinate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, product and other teams to deliver on the goals of the project and our partners.
