In this hands-on role, you won’t just support production—you’ll **lead it forward** , applying engineering expertise right on the floor to solve real-time problems and ensure aircraft components meet the highest standards of safety and performance. This is more than a desk job. It’s where engineering meets action. **What You’ll Be Doing:** + Investigate and resolve production non-conformances through root cause analysis and corrective action. + Apply engineering principles and Company design standards to identify product/process improvements. + Collaborate directly with production teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout manufacturing. + Support Integrated Product Teams and participate in design reviews. + Coordinate with suppliers to verify compliance and quality standards. + Design interim structural repairs and analyze structural modifications for safety and effectiveness. + Participate in accident investigations and product repair teams. + Develop non-destructive test methods and tooling procedures. **Who We’re Looking For:** **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (ABET or ABET-equivalent accredited program). + 5+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering. + 2+ years of Engineering Material Review Board (MRB) experience. + **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.** + Ability to work all three shifts and weekends in a factory environment. **Preferred Qualifications:** Candidates with strong knowledge in the following areas will stand out: + **Materials & Processing:** Experience with steel, aluminum, titanium; machining effects; post-processing methods. + **Machining & GD&T:** Knowledge of complex geometry, tolerance analysis, and metrology tools (e.g., Spatial Analyzer). + **Gears & Shafts:** Understanding of gear profiles, engagement mechanics, and fitment tolerances. + **Repair Methods:** Proficiency in part rework, insert installation, corrosion protection, and surface restoration. + **Functional Testing:** Familiarity with aircraft-level testing (RPM, torque, clearance diagnostics). + **Plating & Finishing:** Hands-on experience with heat treat, anodizing, passivation, and painting processes. **Why Join PDS Tech Commercial?** At PDS Tech, we connect talented professionals with industry-leading aerospace partners.
