Purpose:
The Customer Liaison position includes being a connection between AIM Systems and the customer’s production facility and resolving or preventing issues before, or as they arise. This job is key for the success of AIM’s business, so the following objectives should be accomplished to the highest feasible standards to avoid official claims from the customer through preventive actions as well as corrective ones.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain customer satisfaction and the promotion of AIM’s reputation.Provide customer support for quality and logistics issues.Build rapport and a solid professional relationship with customer at plant level.Be identified as AIM’s known representative, qualified to deal with issues affecting customer production.Earn a reputation of credibility and reliability by fulfilling commitments with integrity and efficiency.Maintain an open communication line between OEM and AIM Systems.Immediately contain and respond to problems at OEM's facility to find the proper solution and avoid official scorecard incidents.Inform AIM Systems to enable appropriate corrective actions and prevent recurrence.Provide continuous feedback to AIM about the status and evolution of situations urgently and proactively.Participate in customer meetings as required.Seek continuous feedback, formal and informal, of customer satisfaction degree about AIM’s product and service.Regularly audit how the customer handles AIM products and the interfaces with other components to assist with root cause analysis.Gain and maintain familiarity with product technical and quality details through regular meetings and visits to AIM especially for any changes.Participate on any prototype, pre-serial builds or line trials, launch support and engineering changes at Customer as needed.Coordinate repair and/or sorting activities on site.Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.Report proactive activity on a regular basis (defined by the supervisor) to the AIM team for awareness and continuous improvement including but not limited to product audits and material delivery audits.Prepare appropriate paperwork and reports, as required.Present information to customer as neededSummarize and update quality status information in order to share with AIM Systems Quality Team each shift.Analyze current processes and identifies activities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and exceed customer expectations.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and reduce waste.Effectively maintains Containment Processes (work instructions, charting, reporting, etc.).Request, retrieve and handle replacement part requests in accordance with AIM and Customer policies.Establish relationships with peer liaisons to improve ability to diagnose issues and problem solve quickly.Be self-motivated and have the ability to maintain duties in fast paced environmentBe able to communicate to and relate with all levels of an OEM structure from operators to management.Attend AIM Systems Employee Meetings monthly.Complete AIM Systems mandatory training as assigned and on time.Maintain excellent attendance records, proactively notify the team of any anticipated interruptions.Follow all OEM policies, escalate if there is a conflict with AIM policies.May also be required to conduct quality functions at AIM Systems or at multiple customer locations when needed.Other duties, as assigned.Qualifications:

Experience/Education/Special Knowledge/Skills:
Must have 3 years of experience in Automotive Quality or similar manufacturing settingMust have previous customer interfacing experience or ability to demonstrate skill with customersMust have knowledge of; or willingness to learn AIM Systems Operating Systems and productsMust be familiar with OEM Customer Specific Requirements.Must be knowledgeable with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.Must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.Demonstrated problem solving (3L5Y, 8D) and critical thinking abilitiesAbility to handle pressure and ambiguous situationsAbility to deescalate and manage conflict under stressMust be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel and WordMust have experience with measuring devices (calipers, feeler gauges, etc.).Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with basic hand toolsStrong in process and process controlsProcess and Product audits experienceShipping and Receiving knowledge.Sequencing of automotive parts (preferred)Tier 1 experience (preferred)Eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities.Self-motivated/Self-Starter.Strong integrityAble to build a long-term win-win patterns with client.Ability to be/work on call as needed or to escalate upon contact by customerPhysical Demands:
