Our client is currently seeking a qualified **Level 1 Desktop Technician** to join their team **onsite** in Canton, OH and provide end-user support. This tech will work the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, and will support a large windows-based IT environment.
**Top Technologies in this environment:**
Windows, Citrix, ServiceNow, currently using SolarWinds, Service Desk, IBM BigFix for deploying patches and remoting into computers
Windows 11, MS O365, Intune, and MS Teams
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ End User Support – Provide the initial troubleshooting of basic software, hardware, peripherals and printers. Escalate to Level 2 after 1 day of troubleshooting
+ Desktop Lifecycle Management – Build, configure, and install new PCs. Review the new workstation setup with the end-user. Provide end-users with basic computer training
+ Equipment Relocation(s) and Additions to Staff – Relocate computers and peripherals
+ Laptop Management – Build, configure and install new laptops. Deliver laptops for meetings and/or presentations
+ Audio/Video Management – Assist meeting presenter with the connection of multimedia devices
**Skills and Qualifications** **:**
+ Associate's degree required in computer science, information systems, or related field. Will accept minimum of two years of professional work experience in lieu of education
+ Must have a working knowledge of computers and operating systems
+ Basic experience with desktop troubleshooting and resolving printer and multifunction device issues
+ A strong knowledge of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP is also required
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Willingness to learn and keep abreast of new skills and techniques
+ Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
+ Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
+ Ability to analyze and anticipate situations
+ Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds
**Wage Range** :
The rate for this position is between **$17.25 - $25.30 per hour.** Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
