Legal Technology & eDiscovery Manager
Location: Kansas City, MO (Hybrid Schedule)
Beacon Hill Legal is working with a well-respected law firm client to identify an experienced Legal Technology & eDiscovery Manager for their Kansas City office. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead technical operations in a highly collaborative environment focused on innovation, data management, and excellent client service.
Position Overview:The Legal Technology & eDiscovery Manager will be responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and supervision of technical services and eDiscovery tools. This role will support internal stakeholders-including attorneys and clients-and play a key part in managing forensic data collection, legal technology platforms (including Relativity), and process improvements.
This position collaborates closely with leadership to shape team strategy, evaluate new tools, and manage high-level eDiscovery and litigation support projects.
Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & Support (80%)Serve as the primary escalation point for eDiscovery and forensic technology matters.
Conduct and oversee forensic data collections and maintain related documentation.
Provide technical expertise and client service support to legal teams.
Manage eDiscovery and litigation support projects from inception to completion.
Maintain and deliver tools such as Relativity and other legal technology platforms.
Advise legal teams on best practices related to data collection and litigation support.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and technology partners.
Assist in managing and maintaining technical resources and client-facing services.
Lead internal initiatives to improve workflows and optimize tech usage.
Maintain project management tools and documentation.
Stay current on legal tech trends and advise on strategic upgrades.
Partner with leadership to drive team planning, data management, and service delivery goals.
Perform additional duties as needed.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of legal technology experience.
At least 2 years of experience in data collection and forensics.
Strong familiarity with tools such as Relativity, Trial Director, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in document management systems and litigation support platforms.
Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
Strong client service and problem-solving capabilities.
Prior law firm experience.
Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA).
Experience with advanced data analytics tools and techniques.
Forensics certification.
