What you’ll be doing 

Reporting to Senior Counsel, Wealth Management, the student will assist with administrative tasks around the Legal Department. They will liaise with legal professionals, provide administrative support to the Legal team and Administrative division, and perform ad hoc tasks for the team. 

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Please note, a preferred candidate has been identified for the role but all qualified candidates are welcome to apply for future opportunities with the team.

How you’ll succeed 

Administrative Support – Assist with administrative tasks to gain insight and exposure to CIBC’s Legal Department. 

Research and Writing – Assist legal team with research and writing assignments.  

Communication – Interact with lawyers and members of the Administration division to gain insight on the legal profession and corporate professionals.
