TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure to provide accurate, proactive and business oriented counselling to the business to drive the relevant contract management process for the business by participating in the negotiation, drafting and to approve the relevant contracts execution.Assist the Regulatory area of the business in the relevant regulatory processes.Ensure management of risks and the fulfilment of the Legal framework to support the Head of LPC to implement and follow up the Bayer Corporate Guidelines.Ensure implementation of and adherence to global corporate guidelines, guidance and strategy to the Middle Management and business peers, taking into consideration local laws and regulations.Implement and operate global and local applicable laws and Bayer guidelines and regulations.Alignment to business needs, ensures service efficiency, optimize cooperation and standardize processes, develop and track respective KPIs.Contribute supporting the Head of LPC in key division projects such as mergers, acquisitions, divestments, business development and launch activities as well as global and local projects.Identification of risks and opportunities and consulting and advising the Middle Management in anticipation and managing measures to achieve business objectives.
WHO YOU ARE
University Degree in Law is required.At least 5 years of experience in similar roles in the pharmaceutical industry or sectors with extensive regulation (alcoholic beverages, tobacco, food, etc.).Advanced English level is required.Ability to represent the company in informal and formal proceedings before regulatory agencies.Ability to manage litigation risks and litigation strategy for supported business.In-depth knowledge of the most significant areas of substantive law implicated in business activities within a functional area in relevant jurisdiction.In-depth knowledge of international legal regimes applicable to assigned functional area.Advanced knowledge of the organizational structure and operating activities of all Bayer units within assigned areas of responsibility.In-depth knowledge of the business initiatives and strategies of the supported business.Ability to be seen by clients and colleagues as an expert business and legal resource within supported business.Ability to communicate practical and creative solutions to proactively solve management concerns while remaining compliant with legal rules.Ability to participate effectively in ExCo/Leadership Teams and other business leadership bodies.
