Legal Operations and Records Manager

Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On’s 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.

The Legal Operations and Records Manager will be instrumental in optimizing the operational and organizational aspects of the General Counsel’s office. The role will act as the Records Manager for the Company including maintaining and improving systems and processes for record retention, leveraging internal databases and ensuring efficient as well as compliant record lifecycles.

This position requires a strategic thinking with problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of making comprehensive recommendations in high-pressure situations while fostering a culture of vigilance, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the Legal team.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Legal Operations

Develop, implement and maintain legal processes and systems to improve efficiency, ensure legal compliance, support legal request intake, contract management, and knowledge managementBuild and maintain relationships with internal clients to align legal operations with business objectivesCollaborate with legal and non-legal stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies through technology and process improvements, managing legal department projects, and supporting day-to-day operations Manage the General Counsel’s Office annual operating plan, to include forecasting and accruals. Participate in strategic planning for the department.

Records Management

Establish and implementation of Records Management policies, procedures, and strategies for managing records for the Company.Serve as custodian of records providing general corporate support to ensure effective entity management Work with the business units and administrative staff to create, implement and maintain Records Inventory using available technology.Collaborate with Legal Department and IT Teams to ensure user compliance with records retention, storage, and disposition activities.Ensure appropriate Records Management Training for staff to comply with established requirements.Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors DegreeAt least 3 years of experience in legal operations and records management.Strong strategic planning, crisis management, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma in Records Management, Information Science, Library Science, or a legal operations is preferred or certification in records management (CRM or CRA) Experience managing cross cultural operationsExperience in LexisNexis, Practical Law, or Auditboard.Ability to maintain composure and lead effectively in high-stress situations.

Additional Information:

Periodic travel is expected, along with relocation to work near Stanton, Tennessee.Employment for this position will be by BlueOval SK, LLC
