You are responsible for the company’s Intellectual Property (IP) and related legal activities globally. To support commercial and corporate initiatives, you identify business needs and design and implement our IP legal strategy through the service delivery model. You advise the business on risk, anticipating and addressing internal and external factors and apply your IP legal specialty area experience to collaborate with other legal colleagues to address IP legal issues or concerns
**How you will contribute:**
You will develop and ensure the implementation of IP / legal strategies to enable Mondelēz International to compete aggressively, and protect our IP assets and reputation while complying with legal requirements and standards of ethical conduct. You will provide guidance and support to ensure managers are making reasonable and informed decisions regarding IP legal opportunities and risks; manage the IP legal strategy with outside counsel, including spending without compromising financial and reputational risk; and provide in-house and external legal expertise to address the increasingly complex IP legal environment by partnering with business units, regions and global stakeholders to identify and advise on applicable laws and regulatory changes in area of IP law.

+ License to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s)
**More about this role**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Work with Chief Counsel MX BU in the following priorities, ensuring clear communication and teamwork: Compliance: advice on compliance matters such as assist: (i) in compliance risk assessment and process; (ii) developing and implementing local policies and conduct compliance trainings both in global and local policies; (iii) in designing effective communication to drive compliance; (iv) maintain appropriate documentation to demonstrate compliance with applicable legal and regulatory compliance; (v) as needed conduct internal investigations and in strengthening investigations program and (vi) monitoring relevant legal and regulatory developments
+ Litigation: will be responsible to follow and provide advice on all the MX BU litigation matters, • document collection, review, managing and requesting outside counsel with the respective reports to ensure a favorable outcome, as well as, managing and updating the MX BU Major Legal Matters Report. Budget: Assist the Chief Legal Counsel in managing the MX BU Law Department budget, analyzing financial information (e.g. expenditures, budget allocation and management) to ensure all operations are within budget.
**Job specific requirements:**
+ Law degree;
+ Admitted to practice law in Mexico;
+ Seasoned in-house lawyer or law firm advisor/counsel with at least 12 years’ experience at prestigious law firms and/or international companies;
+ Experience in technology and data privacy, compliance, and regulatory;
+ Great interpersonal skills, teamwork, approachable and team builder; breakthrough thinker;
+ Ability to work under pressure with a sense of diplomacy;
+ Strong strategic leadership orientation combined with a strong analytical & conceptual thinking – demonstrated through experience in previous roles;
+ Fluent in English and Spanish.
