Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job DescriptionKeep good records of commercial activities involving using IPRs, including marketing promotions, merchandises sales in order to support various legal actions/litigations;Coordinate requests from the local business team, and provide IP documents (TM certificates, Copyright certificates, Chain of titles, etc.), and keep good records;Maintain database of case/litigation files, trademarks portfolio, use evidence in relation to IPs used in daily commercial activities, as well as authorized online stores portfolio;Assist in online monitoring and enforcement program, coordinate with the local creative team to provide authentication results;Performing research and analysis on specific legal issues; also attending to online research to locate necessary materials for trademark prosecution matters;Other ad hoc tasks/responsibilities that may be assigned by China legal team.

QualificationsUndergraduate (3rd or 4th year) or Master graduate (1st or 2nd year) from top university in China, passed PRC bar exam is a big plusGood command of English (both written and oral); and excellent legal writing skills in both English and ChineseProficient computer skills to facilitate documents/records consolidation and collationWorking at least 3 workdays per week, ideally 5 days, able to take internship for at least 6 months or longer; Immediate availability is preferred, but we are open to discussing a mutually convenient start dateInternship experience in MNC or top law firm is an advantageFast learner and good team playerHighly motivated and be able to work independently.
