We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join the Brand Legal (BRD) team in Panama, primarily supporting the Personal Health Care (PHC) category. While the legal team provides support across all product categories, this role will focus initially on PHC, with opportunities to contribute to other categories in the future.
This is a full-time position responsible for key legal activities including advertising and promotional material review, regulatory support, legal risk assessment, and contract review across Latin America.
Key Responsibilities:
Consumer Communication Support: Partner with marketing and product teams to review advertising and promotional materials, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with brand strategy.
Regulatory Interpretation: Provide legal interpretations of laws and regulations; collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to support compliance and contribute to regulatory convergence across the region.
Legal Risk Management: Advise on critical legal risks related to brand activities. Proactively identify potential issues and support the business in making informed, risk-based decisions.
Contract and Agreement Review: Draft, assess, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements relevant to brand activities, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Regulatory, Marketing, Commercial, and R&D teams to deliver integrated legal support.
Stakeholder Communication: Engage internal stakeholders, educating and advising on legal implications related to brand, marketing, and regulatory initiatives.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
Licensed lawyer, legally qualified to practice.
4–5 years of legal experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
Solid understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, regulatory affairs, and interaction with trade associations and regulatory bodies.
Experience in contract law, regulatory interpretation, and preferably review of promotional materials.
Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
Skills & Competencies:

Ability to manage tight deadlines and perform under pressure.
Excellent time and organizational management.
Proven collaboration and teamwork abilities.
