If so, let's start the conversation. **THE OPPORTUNITY** **Title:** Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts **Location:** Hungary **Job Type:** Full-time **Job summary** Iron Mountain is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Qualified Lawyer to join our legal team primarily supporting the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and other legal documents, with a particular focus on the UK market. **Your role in our mission:** + Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts, including but not limited to: - Customer agreements related to Records Management, Data Management, Secure Shredding, Imaging, and Asset Lifecycle Management. - Warehousing and transport templates, including bonded warehouse and customs elements. - Broker agreements, ensuring the use of Iron Mountain's templates where appropriate and leveraging company's position when the introducer benefits financially. - Referral agreements, including detailed clauses on services, payment terms, and joint efforts to transfer customers. - Data Processing Agreements - Global agreements linked to multiple jurisdictions + Providing legal advice and support to various business units on commercial contract matters. + Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the UK. + Identifying and mitigating legal risks. + Collaborating with external legal counsel as needed, particularly for niche areas or when specific expertise is required. + Assisting with the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures. + Managing contract modifications and renewals, adhering to established thresholds and approval processes. + Working closely with various internal teams including procurement, commercial, sales, and customer care. + Advising on legal aspects of new business opportunities and client relationships. **Valued skills and experience:** + Qualified lawyer with a current practicing certificate. + Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts. + In-depth knowledge of UK contract law and relevant regulations. + Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Experience with contract management processes and legal review thresholds. + Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Desired attributes:** + Experience in data management, warehousing, or logistics sectors. + Familiarity with international commercial agreements and multi-jurisdictional considerations. + Ability to progress requests efficiently and manage urgent matters when necessary. **Discover what awaits you** + Discover Limitless Possibilities: Embark on an exciting journey with Iron Mountain, a global organization that embraces transformation and innovation. + Empowering Inclusion: Join a supportive environment where everyone's voice is heard, opinions are valued, and feedback is encouraged, fostering an atmosphere of inclusion and belonging. + Global Connectivity: Connect with 26,000+ talented individuals from 59 countries, opening doors to diverse cultures and fostering global learning opportunities. + Championing Individuality: Be part of a winning team that celebrates diversity and encourages individual differences to drive greatness. + Competitive Total Rewards: supporting your career at Iron Mountain, family, personal wellness, and wellbeing.
