This Legal Counsel role sits within our Internal Firm Services (IFS) team, supporting the engine room of PwC New Zealand. Based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, you'll be part of the Office of General Counsel - a collaborative, close-knit team that provides trusted legal support across the firm.
Your day-to-day responsibilities could include:
Taking the lead on reviewing and updating internal agreements, including terms of business, confidentiality agreements and indemnity letters, using our contract platform LawVu.
Providing clear, practical legal advice to internal teams across a range of issues.
Contributing to legal templates, playbooks and internal process improvements including embracing GenerativeAI and developing use cases in the OGC team
Assisting senior legal counsel with firm-wide legal projects and operational matters.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
2–3 years’ post-admission experience in a law firm or in-house environment, ideally with a focus on commercial or corporate work.
A current New Zealand practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing and updating legal documents or templates.
Ability to prioritise effectively and communicate legal advice in a clear, confident, and practical way.
Familiarity with legal tech tools such as LawVu, or a curiosity about how technology can support legal practice or a legal ops background.
