Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesResponsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
Provide legal support for business operations in China and other Asian countries
Handle legal matters related to the establishment, modification, and dissolution of joint ventures
Manage changes to legal entities across all levels of the organization
Represent the company in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution
Provide legal advice on daily operational matters and identify legal risks
Support compliance programs and develop risk mitigation strategies
Participate in joint venture board meetings and provide legal counsel
Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments
Support corporate governance, regulatory filings, and internal policy development
Advise on employment law, intellectual property, and data protection issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance in business initiatives
Requirements
Master degree or equivalent legal qualification
Licensed to practice law in China or another relevant Asian jurisdiction
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a corporate legal environment, preferably in a multinational company
Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, employment law, and cross-border legal matters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
High level of integrity and professional ethics
Experience in compliance, risk management, and corporate governance
Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office
Strong team coordination and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and drive legal initiatives effectively
