We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Legal Counsel to support the business by providing legal advice and managing various kinds of legal matters relating to the company’s business operations. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in handling and managing various types of legal risks and protecting the company's interests, including ensuring compliant business practices.
What will you do?
Provide legal advice on business-related legal, contractual and compliance matters.Support business teams in handling contractual claims from and towards customers to protect the company's interests.Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, labor and other laws and related filings.Dealing with regulatory matters relating to government and authorities, including permits and licenses.Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.Draft and update contract templates.Develop, implement, and update relevant legal policies and guidelines.Resolve legal disputes.Represent the company in proceedings before judicial, tribunals, governmental agencies or authorities and in other dispute resolution proceedings to protect the company's interests.Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes and advise on their impact on the company.Maintain and coordinate contacts with external lawyers and advisors.Maintain strong connections within the organization to share best practices and understand current and future needs.Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business goals with an acceptable level of legal risk.Focus on preventing and managing legal and contractual issues.Provide training on legal and compliance areas affecting the company's business.Are you the one?
Master of Laws or equivalent legal degree.Minimum of 3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in the private sector (in-house legal counsel or law firm).Admitted to the local Bar Association.Experience in an international environment, preferably in a large multinational company, being a major asset.Fluent in Arabic and English (both written and spoken). French skills being a major asset.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Structured, organized, and effective working style, with the ability to adapt in a fast-changing business environment.Ability to handle a significant workload and meet tight deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team cooperatively.At KONE, we are focused on creating an innovative and collaborative working culture where we value the contribution of each individual.
