GET TO KNOW OUR AREA:
The Corporate Team, which is part of the Law, Patents & Compliance department at Bayer, is responsible for managing and ensuring the maintenance of local corporate governance and routine, including all companies from the group.
We act as Business Partners (BPs) focused on providing compliance and data privacy guidance on relevant topics, also labor law consulting and strategic contracts, attending and working with all business units and has interface with several other departments and different stakeholders, locally and globally.
The team also plays an important role in ensuring strategic legal support for projects, working totally in a fully integrated manner with Business Units and global functions, in order to jointly define the most appropriate strategies considering both, the business and legal perspective.
YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
Coordinate all legal activities related to Compliance, Data Privacy, Corporate Agreements and Litigation in general, with high focus in Labor Law, assuring expert and strategic legal guidance to the various businesses and enabling functions of Bayer Group, aiming at protecting the company's rights, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Support the leadership in managing and evaluating the Corporate and Compliance team, creating conditions to the team satisfactory perform its activities and responsibilities;Providing expert guidance and advice on all legal matters and litigation related to Compliance, Data Privacy, Corporate Agreements, Labor and other strategic matters;Acting in the Compliance area, participating in risk assessments, supporting audits and investigations and participating in the development, review and implementation of compliance policies and programs, with an emphasis on corporate integrity;Legal support on issues related to the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), with a focus on implementing good practices, privacy impact analysis (DPIA), contractual review and information security incidents;Strategic work in consultative employment law, focusing on people management processes and contracts in line with Bayer's employment legislation and organizational culture;Drafting, analyzing and negotiating complex corporate contracts, with special attention to mitigating legal risks and adhering to the company's global guidelines;Participation in interdisciplinary projects with areas such as HR, IT, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Internal Audit, among others;Actively participating in external and internal meetings with other members of the legal department and other areas of the company, including regional and global teams.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?
Must have:
Holder of Law degree, registered with the local Bar Association and with solid professional experience;Advanced knowledge and experience in implementing and coordinating Compliance programs;Advanced knowledge of the General Data Protection Act (LGPD) and related legislation and experience in implementing and coordinating Data Privacy programs;Solid knowledge and experience of Labor Law consultancy and strategic litigation management;Experience in negotiating and drafting national and international contracts;Previous experience in dealing as Business Partner to Legal Area;Advanced use of English as a business language, including legal terms;Ability to conduct complex negotiations, with minimal supervision;Ability to proactively advise supported business on complex issues, including legal implications of business strategy, with minimal supervision;Ability to properly manage work of outside counsel, as well as other outside vendors and/or consultants;Knowledge of issues in the industry in which the relevant business operates;Solid time management, prioritization, and organization skills;Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences, especially to clients without a judicial or legal background, including in trainings for small or big groups;Ability to actively and constructively deal with conflicts between business and legal concerns;Good networking capabilities with internal and external stakeholders;Availability to work in São Paulo (hybrid).
