About this opportunity

MillerKnoll’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pre-law or law student, ideally interested in supporting a wide range of legal matters, such as intellectual property, compliance, or marketing, to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world legal and compliance projects in a collaborative and innovative environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about legal and compliance, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

What You'll Do

Exemplary projects may include:

Assist with legal projects aimed at creating process efficienciesAssist with quality review projects across legal and compliance data platformsAssist with developing index for general legal department websiteAssist with developing index of legal process education presentations

Other general legal projects may include:

Create a survey/overview of regulations or laws pertinent to our businessCreate process templates for legal-related business processes, like obtaining marketing approvals

What You Bring 
The needed skills and experience for this role include... 

Demonstrate strong verbal and written communicationExhibit enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a proactive attitudeProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPointMaintain a high level of professionalism and discretionDisplay a genuine interest in law and/or compliance topics

Education

Currently pursuing a degree in pre-law or a law student pursuing a JD  You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program

Qualifications 

Must be authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future. Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations
