This role is part of Alcon's Legal & Compliance function, a team that safeguards our company and our innovations to ensure our business is protected and our customers can access our eyecare innovations to see brilliantly.
The Manager, Legal & Compliance (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for overseeing legal and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, and supporting risk assessments. You will work with business leaders to resolve legal issues and mitigate compliance risks, managing projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
In this role, a typical day will include:
• Assist in identifying and evaluating legal and compliance risks across business operations
• Draft and review legal contracts, policies, and agreements for legal soundness and compliance
• Monitor changes to laws and regulations affecting business operations
• Support the legal department in handling disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries
• Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and industry codes
• Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate governance, ethics, and business practices, collaborating with external counsel on legal matters as necessary
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Educational Background and Licensure
Law degree from an accredited institution and licensed to practice law in Turkey.
Optional: Advanced degree or certification in healthcare law, regulatory affairs, or compliance.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, preferably within Med-tech, Biotech, Pharma, Healthcare
Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts including vendor agreements
Experience developing, implementing, or auditing internal compliance frameworks and SOPs (preferable)
Skills & Competencies
Ability to identify legal/compliance risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
Able to clearly communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Experience presenting to executive teams or boards.
Experience working with QA/RA, R&D, marketing, and clinical affairs teams.
A practical, business-enabling mindset—not just identifying problems, but helping solve them.
Self-starter who anticipates regulatory or legal changes and acts accordingly
Language
Fluent in English is essential.
