Description
We are partnering with a highly respected plaintiff personal injury firm in Chicago to find an exceptional Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled, self-motivated individual to support a busy Attorney and help deliver an outstanding client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Case Management: Organize, manage, and maintain a complex caseload while ensuring deadlines are met.
+ Court Filings: Efficiently prepare and electronically file motions, orders, and correspondence.
+ Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive timely communication and empathetic attention tailored to their needs.
+ Scheduling and Organization: Coordinate client visits, court calls, depositions, mediations, court appearances, and meetings with experts.
+ Deadline Management: Monitor and manage court-mandated cutoffs and keep track of important case milestones.
+ Drafting and Correspondence: Assist with drafting letters and other communications to opposing counsel and clients.
+ Financial Oversight: Manage outstanding medical bills, negotiate subrogation liens, and process client checks.
+ Liens and Billing: Facilitate lien negotiations and resolve related client matters.
+ Critical Escalations: Identify urgent issues and promptly report them to the Attorney.
+ Other Duties: Provide additional support as assigned by the Attorney or leadership team.
Requirements
+ Proven experience in legal support, preferably in personal injury matters.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
