**Overview:**
Corporate Compliance Law is hiring a Legal Analyst (paralegal) who can provide support to Compliance counsel for Chevron’s global businesses. This position will join a group of paralegals supporting a team of attorneys responsible for providing data privacy, competition law, political law, and antibribery law support to other lawyers and business personnel globally.
This position requires a skilled Legal Analyst who is knowledgeable in legal research, contract reviews, is capable of managing various projects that may be assigned by Compliance Counsel and exhibits strong leadership and influencing skills. The ideal candidate is an experienced Legal Analyst who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment, is technology proficient, and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should also excel at solving problems and exhibits a high-level of initiative.
**Responsibilities** :
This position will perform paralegal tasks under the guidance and direction of attorneys, including:
+ Reviewing and managing contract reviews for alignment with compliance clause requirements
+ Work with counsel and IT support to prepare document review protocols and conduct and manage document reviews and monitor costs.
+ Research of various global antibribery and import/export requirements for Chevron’s global business.
+ Manage compliance law websites to provide timely updates, and help manage counsels’ iManage sites
+ Support Chevron Compliance employees in complying with their legal hold responsibilities and understanding the information management lifecycle.
+ Support counsel with responses to government agencies.
+ Collaborate with counsel and to manage preservation, data collection and production.
+ Contribute analysis to, and develop solutions for, the legal teams supported.
+ Work closely with Chevron business partners, Compliance teams and Chevron counsel supporting the business to resolve a variety of issues relating to compliance support.
+ Ensure efficient and appropriate application of Law Function tools, processes, policies and compliance through matter management.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal supporting litigation and transactional counsel.
+ Strong organizational, analytical, proofreading, editing and research skills.
+ Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain-high quality performance with competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Strong communication (both oral and written), collaboration and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and think independently on how to solve problems and offer solutions.
+ Demonstrate a growth mindset, initiative and accountability.
+ Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools and the ability to quickly learn new tools.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program or a law degree from an ABA-accredited school.
+ Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Forms, OneNote, PowerBI and Visio).
**Relocation Options:**
Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
**International Considerations:**
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
