Legal Administrative Assistant
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administrative Assistant to support an Intellectual Property Litigation team. This role requires a high level of organization, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation support, particularly in intellectual property matters, and will be comfortable working with attorneys, clients, and court personnel. Key Responsibilities: + Provide administrative support to attorneys in the Intellectual Property Litigation group. + Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence. + Manage and maintain case files, including electronic filing systems and document management platforms. + Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, court appearances, and travel arrangements. + Assist with docketing and calendaring deadlines, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures. + Handle e-filing in federal and state courts, including PACER and other court portals. + Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff. + Process billing and expense reports, and assist with time entry and tracking. + Support trial preparation including organizing exhibits, coordinating logistics, and assisting with binders and presentations. Requirements Qualifications: + Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in intellectual property litigation. + Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures and e-filing systems. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments). + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. + Strong organizational and time management skills. + Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience supporting patent litigation or other IP-related disputes. + Familiarity with USPTO procedures and filings. + Knowledge of litigation support tools such as Relativity or CaseMap.
