Legal, CCOR and Control Management Senior Associate
As the first line of defense for JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPMC), Compliance Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) and Control Management help the business/corporate functions to prevent, detect and monitor compliance and operational risks. In support of operational excellence, we play a key role in meeting our client commitments and act as a driving force behind the strategic priorities that will future proof our business in an ever-changing global landscape. As a Senior Associate within our Legal CCOR & Control Management team, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing the strategic priorities of the Control Management organization. Your role will involve acting as a strategic partner, ensuring all new and existing processes are executed with risk mitigation in mind. Furthermore, you will serve as a problem solver and process expert, promoting the organization's objectives forward. **Job responsibilities** + Develop and drive the strategic priorities for the Legal, Compliance, and Controls organization, serving as an thought partner to the team head and other senior leaders + Collaborate with teams across LOBs and functional areas + Support creation of executive-level executive communications + Support end-to-end analysis of the business' LCC environment to identify gaps in strategy / execution and determine root cause of issues + Support overall meeting administration (e.g., Business Control Committees, Business Control Forums), including production and distribution of the materials, quality review of data within the materials, and managing the meeting invite and tracking action items to closure **Required qualifications, capabilities and skills** + Bachelors' degree or equivalent + 2+ years' relevant experience in: + Financial services industry + Background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, compliance, strategy consulting, or corporate strategy + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + Excellent analytical skills and ability to structure complex problems + Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn new subjects quickly **Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills** + Experience with cross-functional collaboration, including influencing stakeholders and working with diverse teams + Business knowledge: ability to understand the business/basic knowledge of regulation surrounding business + Communication/presentation: excellent written and oral communication skills + Networking: strong interpersonal, collaboration and relationship building skills. Client-service focused team player who operates with a sense of urgency and professionalism + Organization: attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple demands and shifting priorities while continuing to drive progress + Critical thinking and analytical skills: identify Issues and trends, develop solutions and / or recommendations to address root cause and mitigate operational risk to the firm. Knows when to escalate matters for appropriate resolution **Candidates must be able to physically work in our offices full-time (5 days).
