Description of Job
This is an at-will, nine-month position with the option of summer teaching. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate (MBA) courses in accordance with program needs. Prepare and present course materials; administer appropriate tests; evaluate student outcomes; select texts; prepare, administer and grade assignments; and assign final grades. Teach two or more of the following courses:
+ Principles of Financial Accounting (ACCTG 201)
+ Principles of Managerial Accounting (ACCTG 202)
+ Intermediate Accounting I (ACCTG 301)
+ Intermediate Accounting II (ACCTG 302)
+ Income Tax (ACCTG 311) • Cost Accounting (ACCTG 320)
+ Accounting Information System (ACCTG 330)
+ Advanced Financial Accounting (ACCTG 401)
+ Auditing (ACCTG 410)
+ Advanced Auditing (ACCTG 412)
+ Other accounting/business courses based on department needs
Primary Duties
Teaches a 4/4 load of undergraduate and graduate courses, as qualified, in accordance with program needs. Prepares and presents course materials; administers appropriate tests; evaluates student outcomes; selects texts; prepares, administers and grades assignments; and assigns final grades. Participates in proposing curriculum changes and program modifications.
Participates in service activities that include shared governance, professional service and community service.
Salary Range
$68,100 to $77,000

+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
+ Strong collegial and collaborative skills
+ Ability to teach other accounting topics beyond those listed and/or business courses outside of accounting.
+ Successful post-secondary teaching experience
+ Experience with and commitment to working with varying student populations and commitment to equity in education at all levels
+ Experience and/or commitment to the use of technology as an instructional tool
