The successful candidate will teach physiology and neurobiology to undergraduates in B.S. and B.A. programs in the life sciences: a core offering is a large-enrollment, introductory physiology lecture course that uses scientific teaching and active learning methods in both conventional and "flipped" formats. The incumbent will also teach, together with current faculty, in advanced undergraduate courses, including a neurobiology lab course. Applicants should have strong foundational knowledge in biology with depth in neurobiology or physiology, and a proven record of effective undergraduate teaching, especially with students from diverse backgrounds. The incumbent will effectively engage students in both large and small enrollment courses, and will work with an active, collaborative group of research and instructional faculty to develop and implement innovative, evidence-based pedagogy in the life sciences.
