Job Description:
The Leasing Credit Sr Officer is responsible for the delivery of integrated credit solutions to clients as well as on-going portfolio management. Key responsibilities include underwriting and negotiating new transactions, partnering with client-facing teammates to consult on sales opportunities, and providing the product expertise to deliver effective client solutions.
Job expectations include providing on-going monitoring of client portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely analysis of financial statements, assignment of risk ratings, and required client reviews.
Responsible for helping clients achieve their overall strategy through the innovative use of various funding alternatives; possess and share with the client and other members of the client team expert knowledge of business finance and the associated products and services. Interact regularly with clients in an effort to proactively understand their goals, their current performance, and their needs.
The Leasing Credit Sr Officer uses this client knowledge to assess the appropriateness of existing solutions and to propose optimal financing alternatives or additional financing solutions. Directly accountable for managing credit quality and the approval process through their interaction with Risk Management Officers and Senior Management.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates new end-user credit opportunities including identification and assessment of risks and identifies mitigating factorsPartners with client-facing teammates to consult on sales opportunities and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible solution to the clientUnderwrites new transactions, analyzes credit risk, negotiates and closes deals, while adhering to internal policy, procedures and regulatory requirementsStructures the terms of a lease/loan with respect to the various aspects that make up a lease/loan (e.g. pricing, rates, payment, term, collateral)Manages the credit process for a portfolio of clients including reviewing financial statements, assessing the client's compliance with financial covenants, confirming the accuracy of risk ratings, and recommending changes as warrantedRequired Qualifications:
5+ years experience in a Leasing and/or Commercial banking related roleMust have proficient credit and risk analysis skillsMust have proficient presentation, structuring and financial statement analysis skillsProficient Microsoft Office skillsDesired Qualifications:
Experience in the analysis and structuring of complex transactions, Proven ability to analyze, interpret and negotiate third party documentation, Proven ability to identify trends and emerging risks in underwriting and client selection. Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA PreferredSkills:
